LSE - the limo of the era.

The LSE was the 108" stretched version of the normal RR - and now one of the rarest classic RRs with only a few left on the road.

SWB - the standard RR.

The SWB was the standard RR, coming in a wider range of options, from Diesel to Petrol and a variety of spec. levels.

25 - the 25th anniversary model.

The RR was introduced in 1970, 1995 as the classic came to an end saw a special edition for the 25th anniversary.

RR Soft Dash

The Range Rover Classic, run-out model. In March 1994, Land Rover introduced the last major change to the Range Rover of that era. Built from 1994 to 1996 the interior was upgraded to receive a soft feel dashboard - based on the recently facelifted Discovery, and with switchgear from the Rover 800. These cars are commonly known as the Soft Dash to distinguish them from earlier models, and they are a collectable classic.

This website presents a historical archive of information about Soft Dash models.

Moving through the registrations...

We analysed the most common registration letters in our db and picked the top 6. A British plate of this era (1994-96) is formatted: AXXX AAA. The first letter is the year letter (only L / M / N apply to softdash models). Then a sequential number from 1 to 999, and finally a three letter shorthand for the regional office at which the car is registered. So we have been tracking down cars with those original plates. We have now traced all cars from original BWV (5), CUF (11), CVC (65), FPC (5), GPV (5), HOA (5), HVC (30), KAC (30), KWV (14), LDU (15), LNJ (8), LKV (26), LWK (8), LYP (12),RRC (15), RKV (17), VFL (7), VHP (26), VJL (6), YAC (15) registration plates which are still known to the DVLA, and are Soft Dash Range Rovers.

Soft Dash owners

If you own, or used to own a soft dash classic Range Rover, we would love to have more details. You can see much of what we collect above, but additionally it would be useful to know: Number Plate / Chassis No. / Engine No. All public information shown on here is anonymous, we hide the reg. plate (while showing the year) and any photos have number plates removed. It is useful though to build up a complete picture in the background, so hopefully you can help. We also love photos!

Prices

We don't list sale prices against specific vehicles, but will show aggregated statistics. It is useful for us to know when a car sells and for how much, so that we can create those stats.
